Topograph is a tool to automate contour line theme attribute update. It dramatically increases the productivity for the attribute adding operation using an interactive graphical interface. It is very useful for topography polylines or other polylines with a constant step values between adjacent curves.
- Reduce the time of table attribute update tasks to
few minutes for 1000 contours lines. Using the
graphical interface, keyboard input will be reduced to only the initialization of operations.
- Draw a line with the topograph tool in a view over the
contours lines and type the height for the first
values and a step, and choose for the up or down to
increase or reduce the values. Topograph will assign
values for all contours lines based on the first value
and the step.
- If the first contour line is already updated with a
value it is enough to choose up or down and Topograph will do it all.
- Click OK & Save to store these values in the polyline
theme table.
- To have visual control for the features with no data, Topograph can automatically produce a legend.
