Stretch, rotate and register an image in ArcView
  • Produces a new tiff image file that results from a first order polynomial transformation on an existing tiff image file.
  • Pull the image into a view.
  • Identify points on the image and matching points on the map.
  • Click a button to compute the best first order polynomial transformation using the least squares fit method.
  • The residual error for each point is provided. The choice of points can be manipulated.
  • Accept the transformation and the new image file is produced and positioned in ArcView.
  • A first order polynomial transformation will stretch and rotate an image.
