This is an extension to ESRI ArcView 3.x for defining often used map extents:

Advanced Extents is an improvement of the ESRI extension Named Extents with the following innovations:
An extent is valid for all views of the project and not only for the active view.
Only those extents that overlap with the active view are shown in the Extents menu.
You can assign a fixed scale to each extent by naming it like "Overview 1:100,000".
You can assign access keys to extents by entering an ampersand "&" in its name.
When you highlight an extent in the menu you see the resulting scale in the status bar.
Named extents of the ESRI extension NAMEDEXT.AVX are converted automatically.
What's new in version 1.1:
The Extents menu is available for layouts - you can now choose the extent of view frames!
The view size can be adjusted to the extent (it is resized to display the extent only).
You can define fixed scales without extent (only the scale is changed, the extent is kept).
The choice "0 All extents..." is added to the menu when more than 10 extents are available.
Now the import of extents from other projects is working (a bug has been fixed).
The documentation has been widely improved.
